Something Broke ( gonna make more powerful 220hp coming up)

Rear end removed all looks good, now gonna reinstall without the driveshaft and make it a roller, put it up high and drop this engine straight down to get at that torsional damper, cmon broke spring
now i am not saying to do this
just an idea
what if you removed the torsional set up i know it is for shock but maybe you could get a long with out it?

I'm afraid it would break other parts without something to absorb the shock. My 2¢
i taught of that to but it might be like diff and maybe easier to change maybe cost more money but kevins got a bank
may lose weight with that gone
in racing you have good ideas and bad ideas that why i leave the desicion to kev.
its also nice to have opinions thanks guy

They do have that cush unit to absorb shock, I'm sure the torsion unit does soften the shock but would be interesting to try without it. I wonder if someone has tried that and could answer that question. Differentials are awful expensive.

I had an old shovelhead Harley that had the compensator welded up. It serves the same function as the torsional damper. I don't know how long it had been welded. I replaced it before I tried to ride it.

Its the torsional damper, spring is not broke but its jammed you can tell obvious differences when compared to a good one. The pictures show the differences, calipers showed the differences as well, it about ripped the circlip off but it held, it definitely tried to separate off shaft. , the good one you see the splines and the circlip and washer tighter to bearing. Behind gear you also see the 5mm differences, seems like maybe a bent shaft as it is wonky, gonna slap a good damper in, reset timing and get back at it. LIVIN
