Totally different seat. This is a one piece gel seat that replaces the factory two piece seat at the roadster height instead of the lower classic seat height.

Not that I am aware of. However, I do believe there is an older classic model seat that would fit the roadster but be lower and with gel but I'm not 100% on that myself

Wrecker the Triumph gel seat 'will fit onto' your Roadster. You will sit a bit lower and further back, as the Roadster seat is higher and pushed the rider further forward. If you want to see if a gel seat would suit you get onto Bruce. I gave him a Standard solo seat and pillion pad, he was going to have it re-upholstered. Doubt he'll be doing it after buying the Classic seat. Sure he'd be happy to let you try it on your bike.

So the old classic lower seat did have a gel option. Thought that was what I had seen somewhere

I have a Gel rider and Gel pillion I asked the same question but was told by Triumph there was only only a one piece Gel to suit the Touring If any body is interested I am happy to sell them and I also have custom made sheepskin covers made by "The Good Wool shop in Berry" they made fantastic sheepskin covers for most bikes, if interested send a "Conversation"
