It was within $3 of Fed Ex. USPS changed their rate structure so larger boxes become really expensive when shipping cross country. These bars require a box of 36” in one dimension. Will go with the cheapest route and carrier for the buyer.

I just assumed Steve backed out due to postage, when I sent my bars to someone that bent theirs, I told them don't worry about the postage, I'm thinking it was $25-$30, from memory.

Not sure where you were shipping to, but from VA to WA was in excess of $60 for both USPS and Fed Ex.

Wow, I forget where Norm lives, want to say Michigan, from Buffalo. Makes sense, I guess, twice the distance.

My Son has shipped many weird sized boxes around the US, he found Grayhound and Fastenal to be way cheaper..He once shipped a standup jet ski hull to the west coast via Grayhound.,,If its heavier like a bike motor, Fastenal is the way to go.:sneaky: as they have fork lifts.
