Skippy is an A-hole

Centipede is good - and at least everybody gets a leg.......but what the hell is a mutton bird??
In January 1990 I was on the STS Leeuwin, about 200 miles of the south coast of Western OZ, when we saw some birds skimming over the waves. One of the other "trainees" asked me what sort of birds they were and I said that I had no idea, and that they could be mutton birds for all I knew. It turned out that that is what they were. Apparently in the early days of the Colonies food was a bit scarce, so they started eating these birds - which tasted like mutton.

Woolliest bird that I've ever seen .. someone back me up here !!!

Yep they taste nice but its the chicks that get eaten not the grown ones, indigenous people of Tassie and Bass Straight Islands ate the as part of their diet
high fat content, as a kid growing up in Tasmania they were a real treat. The chicks grow up in a burrow in the ground , massive black tiger snakes also live on the islands and spend 3 months gorging on chicks, mutton bird catchers have big balls throwing their hands down those burrows

I used to know a bird with a last name of Shearer.

Lol you can actually purchase Kangaroo in our supermarkets .lots of people eat it including myself .It's very lean but I prefer beef
