You have confused me . . . again.
If you be in Bateman's Bay is not "UP" to the north towards Sydney???
Is not Brisbane "DOWN" to the south of you???
I assume as you move closer to the equator the weather becomes warmer and closer to the south pole it is cooler, correctamundo?
On the other hand in true upside down fashion, you may consider the bottom of our planet "UP" ad the top DOWN.

Maybe this will help. Bateman's Bay is pretty much directly to the east of Canberra. Sydney is indeed to the north, but so is Brisbane.

heres @BigAl52 with @nicko and @Wrecka........ was a hot day & @bruce aussie and I finished up having a look at the HQ's, it was also pretty interesting wandering around as they had alot of the old steam engines running in some of the sheds onsite as well
