Actually not really the only add ons are there for comfort or convenience, definetly would never have put the heated stuff on if it weren't for the facts stated above, Heated stuff is for pussies and old crusts with cranky joints and unfortunately I am now-a days in the old crust category

Yep I was in Albany on the weekend, caught up with TC and Catherine.

I bet skin's easier to get off the CES headers than melted pants. And for gord sake DO NOT USE OVEN CLEANER.

I may have said this before . . . A BIG thing I love about my CES is I have left melted water proof riding pants and jeans on the #2 pipe several times.
I found that doing nothing is best as after an hour or so of additional riding it turned to ash and dusted off leaving NO permanent blemish!!!
When this first happened I was really bummed and thought of your ordeal, Richard. I just continued my ride and after the next stop the ugly melted stuff just brushed off completely!
I thought it a fluke; however, it has repeated this scenario several times since.
I have now covered the area with a thick leather patch that works perfectly. I am also having a leather leggin made for my right leg ankle to knee.

Correct and great observation!
I do this SO much because of my right hip needing replacement that it seems normal to me now.
I have gotten pretty good at trail braking with my right heel as well.
