How can anyone buy a bike/car/truck without test riding/driving them first?????? I know some people do and if you do then do not piss and moan when you do not like it.
Research ends with the front wheel up in the air, lots of snake oil salesman who will sell you what you want to hear, sit your arse on the bike start it up and take it for a ride that way you do not make embarrassing videos like the twat in the video. Now that is real research
Now that is when I step in and test ride them for them then give them my honest opinion, now I might have to test ride three or four times but I have no problem with that
This guy appears to be a Youtube influencer with 2K followers and subscribers. Do you think he was serious about the Rocket or just wanting to make another video.
There's a great read by a guy who took a 3 month 7000 mile journey through Cuba on his motorcycle. His book "Me Moto Fidel" will have you putting Cuba on your bucket list. It was an amazing journey through Cuba. He thought about different bikes he'd ride and settled on the BMW.
Well of course, what else? A Harley guy complimented me on the K1200 the other day, I told him God is an old man, he probably rides a Goldwing, but if Jesus rides, he rides a K1200

Who the heck ever listens to a salesman?!!!
Your ducks should all be in a row before you even step foot into a dealer!
Also, tis fun to catch salesmen on their BS when you know the stats.
I saw the video on another thread and commented there but I’ll restate briefly. He was not cut out to be a Rocket captain. After declining the bike he lists three others that are not even close to the same category. He flat out does not know what he wants. I’ve seen this very thing on this forum.
No harm no foul on the deposit and return. He got first chance and passed it up. I think the Rocket is an odd bike that takes a “special” rider.
I did test ride mine as it was used and my dealer will let me ride anything even if we both know I’m not buying it. We took a Vanderhall out for a ride the other day just to see what it is. Nice machine but not for me.
I don’t do a lot of technical research about a bike. I look and I ride and I usually know before I ride that I will get it. To me a bike is an emotional toy and specs and facts are just tidbits to enjoy after the purchase. I love it before I buy it. So far I have not regretted any bike purchase.
I have a deposit on the TFC but barring any fatal finding I will buy it. I can ride or adapt to nearly any bike. Im an easy whore.
