Rockets Across America III

Not to worry, I wear the extra padded Depends. They have a handy little pocket in them where I can keep my denture cream. Link Removed :D

Add me to the list

****, I just checked Map quest. Almost 1200 miles for me. I voted for Eureka Springs because I liked the name. Looks like 600 mile slab days with the saddle bags full of Advil. I have a grand baby coming along in mid-September-thanks to Hero Blob and I haven't even told my wife I was considering this little excursion. Sometimes you just have to go for it. I may ride the 305 Scrambler to save gas so I am leaving next week. Count me in. Has anyone tried to contact Raymond about the where and when?

just got a picture from the patch and pin folks in tejas. Now there's 4 posted in my photo album, the 3 I drew and the one I just added. (the one with color). Anybody interested in this? Anybody got any ideas they'd like to contribute? Now that we have a date and place, I don't guess we're getting our horse and cart misalligned are we? The nice folks in tejas said about 8 weeks, so we;ve got time, if we want patches and/or pins.. y'all take care and to GOD be the Glory,
xhdskip

George:

If you are gonna go, I might as well meet up with you somewhere along the way so we can tell lies.........:)

So, the Blob is your son-in-law huh?

Rocky probably has better weather info than this... but August and September in the midwest can be muggy but usually it isn't too bad. July burns off some of the humidity and the days are quite a bit shorter so its not near as miserable as June and July. There is a reason you see so many bike rallies in the midwest in August, less chances of rain and the humidity is lower.

As a point of comparison the 2nd and 3rd week in July are usually the hottest in the KC area. I always go to Baxter's Rally the 3rd weekend in August (Up in Iowa... known for it's humidity with all that corn) and it's actually pretty nice. We'll be riding anyway :D.

Snuff....Allow 10 hours. Your aged butt won't handle a straight 489. You won't **** straight for a month. Forget the BVD's. The seams will basically eat you alive. Get some riding underwear or womens cotton brief's (I won't call 'em panties) I don't want anyone to get the idea you might be a cross-dresser.......:D

My first 2 days of the Nashville trip, well, I thought my ass would fall off. By the third day, my ass was numb and it got better every following day.
Thongs real riders wear thongs(back to front):D
