Rockets Across America III

There aren't any Triumph Dealers in NW Arkansas. The two closest options are:

  • El Dorado Cycle - El Dorado Springs, MO
  • BMW of Little Rock - Little Rock, AR
Neither option is close, unless there were plans to ride in their respective areas. One has to leave the hilly areas to get to either shop.

El Dorado Cycle is in a small town and is operated by a down-to-earth individual that everyone enjoys talking to. BMW of Little Rock purchased the Triumph Dealership sometime ago (they also carry Vespa and recently added Ducati), it is a newer shop that is at the end of a warehouse building that would have a lot of stuff to look at.

Malinoman (dennis) Baggage1 (Bob) and myself Scot in Exile(Dave) have a room booked at the pine Valley Lodge. I only asked for two things#1 non smoking room. #2 A room as far away as possible from Flip the desk clerk could not help me on number two due to the large amount of requests from all the other riders for the same thing.:p

I promise I'll take my semi-annual shower before I leave home.

The Wife and I are in. She will make reservations tomorrow, I gave her all the numbers and we will just have to see what is open.

Xhdskip, we plan on leaving Fri. morning, about 3 hours to Tulsa. we will probably stop in Tulsa for a while as we have family there. If the timing works out we can hook up with you in the Tulsa area, maybe after lunch some time? Will be in touch as the date gets closer. Anyone else from this neck of the woods going that you know of?

Are there any other arrangements I need to make?

Look forward to seeing you all there. Lonnie

You Are Too Kind

I'm with you, Flip. Looks like a great size to me. Too bad she's only a cartoon.

Sunshine, I've never noticed any extra pounds in any pic I've seen of you.

You are too kind.

And for voting I like both of the newest patch ideas. Only thing on the first one is maybe insert a year on it some how. On second one it would only be a tease to the Harleys since they can't catch us. :D

Looking Like Bear is out

Lookin like Bear is out, unless he comes in a cage. His back surgery is tentative scheduled for July 16th and he thinks the recovery will be longer than when the ride happens. Right now I am still planning on coming along with our two friends. But might change according to how my Honey Bear is doing at that time.

Wrap Him Up and Bring Him Along

I wish him well for his surgery and if not on 2 wheels, let him ride in a cage and run interference for you and your friends. That way you'll all have plenty of food and drink stored on board his vehicle and you won't have to cram all your clothes into motorcycle bags.

I'm hoping we can plan to have one evening, after dinner, at your motel with the fire pit. We'll make S'mores and stuff. Honeybear will have to be there for his share of the goodies.

Been trying to get ahold of the one R3 owner in B'ville for some time with no success (yet) I think he belongs to CMA, so I may have to make one of their meetings. Theres a couple in T-town but so far no response. Met 1 guy in OKC when I went there for my yearly shafting. I got his e-mail, I'll shoot him and his mrs. a note. Yea, we can meet in t-town, just P.M. me a number and we'll set it all up. Glad that vacation thing worked out. It'll sure be nice to ride with y'all. xhdskip

Oh! He would eat his share of the s'mores! Hey! That is an idea! Then I wouldn't have to even have my saddle bags on the bike. Gets more attention that way!!:D
