Rockets Across America II - 2007

Scot in Exile here (Dave McAulay) have me listed as two with one being my wife, unless my business partner gets a sex change before friday count him as a male. The wife does not like motorbikes to much which is fine by me she nags me enough in the house.:D

See there Molinoman, Dave has lost his snake kilt:D And unless my count is off, not unlikely, I read a minimum of 10 Rocket Captains plus a small hand full of outlaws/inlaws on hardly honda ablesons :) Add a couple if CAD can??

Final one for this thread

This will probably be my final post for RAAII. My plate is pretty full getting ready for the trip and some 4th activites with the wife before departing in the am. I have enjoyed the planning of this and the BS that is gone on between members. Hopefully 14 of us will meet in Nashville. I think Raymond Braswell deserves a great deal of credit for putting this thing togather, I don't know what he does for a living but he is **** good with people. From past photos posted real good with one gender. Jared has been a life savior with help in Smashville. From the first conversation I had with him he has done nothing but go out of his way to help. He represents true Southern hospitably to the highest level. Thank you one more time for all of your help, Jared. I won't be home for the Chat Room, so some shoot me an e-mail if any changes take place. It looks like I may be doing a little riding in the rain, 40% chance, but what the hell do the weathermen know anyway. Sorry HeR3tic. Rusty all of the best on rooming with Flip, you are going to need it. I hope the old Fart is holding up OK, the site hasn't had alot of turmoil the past couple of days except for Jack. See you all in NASHVILLE.

Raymond Braswell deserves all the credit!

He did an awesome job following up on his idea. That's what motorcycling Rocket style is all about, getting together and riding.

If you couldn't make it to this big shindig you should look into hooking up with some Rocket captains locally. I'll bet you get a pretty response from people who want to get out and ride.

Spit shine complete, tank topped off, saddle bags loaded, air pressure checked, music system functional, heart rate right up there.

LET'S ROCK!

10 hours on the road tomorrow (nothing like what Flip & Co. are doing) and an overnight stay at sis's in Forrest City, AR., then coast into Bashville early afternoon on Friday.

See ya.

Rubber Side Down

It's been great watching everyone getting excited about your trip.

I really wanted to join you bunch of holigans in Nashville as I know there will be lots of stories , jokes, bragging rights and great fun had by all. Be sure and take lots of photos for the forum. Maybe I can talk Pig9r and Tomo into taking a ride with me?

Rusty, if you get a chance, stop by and say hello as you come through KC and watch out for all the deer along those mountain roads.

Shiny Side Up !

We're out

The wife and I rode to Nashville yesterday looking for places to stay with no luck. On the way back home we had a flat rear tire and now I don't think that I need to ride back to Nashville until I can get it looked at. It looks like Saturday is going to be the earliest that I can get it in the dealer. So I'm out for this year, maybe next year.:(:(

Scratch Bob (Baggage1)

And then there were 13.

Guys I'm sorry to have to report that Bob had a motorcycle accident on July 1st near NAS Pensacola, I just found out about it. He is in the hospital with some pretty bad injuries. When i return from Nashville I will try and visit him if I can find his room at Baptist Hospital.
Sorry for the bad news, but I thought you guys might like to know.

I guess I'll be riding up to Montgomery by myself and then I'll join up with Scott in exile (Dave) and his Harley riding friend.

Rocky, I guess it'll just be the three of us now.
Dennis

Excited

Looking forward to hearing all about the Nashville Trip. Should be some great stories and pics. It sure has been quite here......(insert cricket sounds)......but that will all change soon.

Too bad about Baggage1. Hope Molinoman can visit him and give an update. Hurry back Baggage1 and get well quickly.:)

Nashvill Raid

This thread stopped where...

Seems the hood went to pieces...

We've been back near a week and no carry on...

Well, I'm impressed with the spunk of those with a TuneBoy. Didn't think I was paying attention did you. Took the plung and gone went with the Groapy Bye. Thanks, B.

Had a surprising find with my snickered at leather front dirt guard. It's been keeping that crap off most my lower chrome and shirley my FINE Scotts filter:cool:

The trip was awesome. Got the best mileage ever at 36.5, excluding the first 200mile ride home, and I attribute this rejuvenation to Amsoil. PERIOD. With that meer 7% added on speed limit the entire way;) Soon to be resolved.

There was great appreciation everywhere. I'm looking forward to the next.

:bch:
