Rockets Across America II - 2007

Great response Snuff .

Although I'm really disappointed I did not get honorable mention as the person having to put up with Flip during the evening hours.

HTML:
and who else I'm not sure.

I might throw in "my" cards next. That hurt, deeply .

OK Flip, now you have to convience me that going is really worth it now.

Rusty:

I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers. I just took it for granted that you were going. You weren't in the forefront of my thoughts at all. Besides, Ed is too old to kick my ass when I get out of line so you'll have to do it.:D

Sorry Snuff and Ern

Life can bite you in the butt sometimes. We will have a beer for each of you. Maybe next year. Keep them R/3's between the ditches........

I take back what I said to Snuff

Britman:

I probably should have said the same rather than jumping to the offensive and I apologize for that.

I don't apologize very often, but I was a little crass to say the least. Everyone has issues, even me though I don't have many.

Come to think of it, this week I have more than most of the time with Amy being in Arlington, Texas on gummit business I'm holding down the fort. Sometimes I could grow to hate cats. We had 3 litters of 4 each and the little ****s are into everything. They are all outside believe it or not on the front porch. They want to come in. They aren't but they try. My chocolate Lab is terrified of kittens so she don't want to go outside and do her business. I won't go there. I'll be glad when Amy gets home on Friday.

I'll be departing here on Sunday afternoon bound for Middle field, Ohio to E&C's and we are leaving their house Monday, early AM or after a good Amish breakfast and head for York, Pa., our first stop. I just know we are gonna pay homage at HD in York. I've been to that plant at least 5 times but I always enjoy the motorcycle museum there even if they are all HD's.

I'm taking my Mavica and plenty of extra memory sticks and floppies so expect a deluge of pictures to be posted after this whole junket.

Britman, you know we are the ones who are gonna get bitten in the butts. Bitten by the seat, the sweat and the seams in our jeans.....ah, Gold Bond Powder.:bch:

Smashville Update

Jared will make reservations at a Hooters accessable to us all for Friday night. He will need a total headcount by the end of this weekend. He will meet us there and his dinner is on me for all of the help he has provided. He also advises Tn. is like Va. you can purchase beer just about anywhere, no special stores needed. I feel better already. You guys might want to Google Nashville maps and take a look around. That is one big ass town. Some of you world travelers may have to help us country boys get around. Of course we will have to stop and stare at the tall buildings. CAD glad you are coming, there are still rooms at the Super8 if you are interestered. See everyone there!!!!!!

Scot in Exile here (Dave McAulay from Fort Walton Beach, FL.) I have been talking with Baggage1 (Bob from Pensacola) about the trip and if all is okay I will join all of you on the 6th. I called the motel today to book a room and he just said come on up. See you next week.:)

Scot

It will be good to see you in Nashville, since Bob and I will be riding up, will you be riding with us? If so we will be leaving early Friday morning on the 6th and meet HeR3tic in Birmingham, AL for lunch and ride up from there. My phone number is 850-587-4156 (homw#) oe 850-261-3531 (cell#). Call me for directions to my place (if you are riding with us) when you get a chance.
By the way, guys, the tooth is out, no complications, will be drinking a cup of coffee this morning to celebrate (had to wait 24 hours).
Dennis

Update and Uprate, not Irate, yet......

Okay guys:

I checked Accu-Weather and NOAA long range forecast and the weather is tits for next weekend in the Music City. Plenty of sunshine but toaster temperatures in the 90's. Wear your sun screen and flip-flops. Tank tops are acceptable but I don't want to see any Captains riding in shorts.....:D

I'm 99% sure I'll have to pass on Hooters. My riding companions, mainly Carol isn't gonna to go there. I already asked and she declined. Like she said....Why would I go to Hooters to eat overpriced and overrated food and look down the bodices of well endowed girls as they serve me that food. I can understand that. For me and Ed, we prefer to peer and leer but Carol is a girl so that's not her thing. We'll probably go somewhere for dinner and make it an early night.

Dennis: I'm happy that your mouth is happy and you'll be relieved to know that I won't have to get my SOG out of the saddlebag for any planned extraction or the 5 pound drilling hammer for the knock-out blow.

Remember, this isn't just a ride to Nashville for us. We'll have been on the road for almost a week with many miles, hopefully trouble free ones under our wheels and Nashville and the Taliban 8 is a stop off point for us. Sunday, we'll be continuing North and Easterly toward the Ohio River Valley with Stubenville, Ohio in mind and then onward toward Lake Erie. I'm referring to it as the Taliban 8, 'cause every time I call there, I get someone on the other end that speaks very broken English. At least I don't have to press '1' for Spanish....yet.

I'm really anxiously anticipating meeting many of the personalities that I converse with here. Don't worry though, I'm not nearly as abrupt in person as I am on the website.....I'm worse.:)
