Rocket X needs to be louder

That's what mine had too. I thought the older models had a bigger box. I didn't know Triumph offered a better crossover. I figured it would have to be aftermarket.

WOW!!! You stated:
"I thought the older models had a bigger box."
Likely true, but golly gee!!!

Rocket X I can make you a dual set up or a single set up. I have already done many many singles and I am ready to do a dual. A dual set up will run right around $700 plus $35 for shipping. You will have to handle them with care untill you run them and bake on the flat finish. It will look pretty close to stock, but will sound amazing. PM me for phone and more info.

Thanks, Dain

Honestly I am still, maybe even more, lost then when I started the thread. I have someone down in Australia offering to sell me a bypass pipe and he advises "no need to change out stock pipes." Then I hear from guys the TORS will take care of it because the cats are in the stock pipes, then I hear the bypass pipe is already empty on my stock bike. Others say the cats aren't in the stock pipes because it is a Roadster not a Touring. Anyone able to sort all this out? The dealer is clueless so I need you all to be by guides.

Again I have a 2015 X and I want more sound but not Harley annoying level.

From this thread, I've learned that the TORs don't have catalytic converters in them, that the box in the stock crossover doesn't have anything in it and probably doesn't degrade performance. So you can apparently buy the black or chrome TORs, which will sound better than stock, and get the dealer to install the tune for them. That should set you up for not much expense until the warranty runs out.

I have a 2014 Rocket Roadster (the fastest red stripe version) I purchase at the first of this year. When I ordered the bike, the dealer had a Roadster model in the showroom with stock exhaust which I got a chance to hear running. It was disappointing to say the least (sounded like a sewing machine), so I had the dealer order and install the TOR exhaust and Triumph tune when my bike arrived at the dealership. I can't answer about the performance increase, but the TORs sound much deeper in tone and louder (but not annoyingly loud). If you want a better commanding sounding exhaust, go with the TORs. I have ridden about 1200 miles on the bike now and the exhaust note seems to increase slightly in volume and deepen in tone as I acquire more miles. This exhaust setup also works very well on longer trips as you don't get drone syndrome from too loud or boomy exhaust. I like my setup very well. Oh, and I left the collector on the bike. I think your mindset is about like mine, the bike is plenty fast enough, but needs to make a little more rumble noise. Go for the black TORs, you won't regret it! Please keep in mind, this is "In My Opinion"!

If you want to spend that kind of money. My system deletes all the factory pipes up to the head pipe. So it also works as cat box delete. Mine also uses the TORS tune with cat box delete, but can be done by you with a laptop and tuneboy or tuneecu or by the dealership. I can also give you different sound levels to choose from and the exhaust includes a removable baffle if you decide to increase the sound levels. With the TORS once you buy it the sound is the sound and that's it. I have been manufacturing motorcycle part for over 4 years to supply folks like yourself quality parts at a great cost savings and that why i do it.
