Hell! I powder coated my exhaust and already made mine like like the X, except the funky stripe, and cost me about 250.00. Shade better than 2,000!
 
I like it. It's the only time I've been tempted onto a Roadster. Sure it's too much black and you could make your bike "look" like one, but it wouldn't be one. Getting that stripe done (it's not painted on) along with the black exhaust would easily cost the $2000 - and who knows, this could be the last Rocket statement.

Not sure what engine mods could be expected to be done anyway. Their hands are tied with exhaust upgrades as they have no choice but meet emission and noise standards and what intake mods would be worthwhile in that case? I guess the same goes for the ECU. just how much could be done without getting the ire of regulators? And if they'd have put a screen and bags on it I'd have been sick.

No, it's a very nice bike and if I could, I'd get one.
 
It's grown on me and I'd be tempted had I not just got my Roadster. A quickshifter, slipper clutch and switchable mapping would be nice:):)
