I like it , but it's pure fluffery... all show and no go. Opening up the motor, offering a performance ECU or a factory tuned racing exhaust, now that would be Special.
All superficial changes, when many other changes would be a benefit----as mentioned on previous posts
Just another cosmetic gimmick. juss, m.h.o...------------------ Wouldn't say no, on me birthday tho'...

Hell! I powder coated my exhaust and already made mine like like the X, except the funky stripe, and cost me about 250.00. Shade better than 2,000!
I like it. It's the only time I've been tempted onto a Roadster. Sure it's too much black and you could make your bike "look" like one, but it wouldn't be one. Getting that stripe done (it's not painted on) along with the black exhaust would easily cost the $2000 - and who knows, this could be the last Rocket statement.
Not sure what engine mods could be expected to be done anyway. Their hands are tied with exhaust upgrades as they have no choice but meet emission and noise standards and what intake mods would be worthwhile in that case? I guess the same goes for the ECU. just how much could be done without getting the ire of regulators? And if they'd have put a screen and bags on it I'd have been sick.
No, it's a very nice bike and if I could, I'd get one.
