I paid $8000.00 for an 06 R3C with 11000 miles. pipes and K&N filter were bonus. If you want to make a road trip out of it A dealer out here has a 12 R3T new he's pushin, only 1200 miles or so away. hell fly out and ride back!

Wow! Great welcome here... looks like Cooter and I are almost neighbors! I'll check out that lead, since this far south, the west coast is just a couple hours from the east side. My target is around $10k and <10k miles, so from what I'm seeing, that's realistic. I need to sell my Aprilia first, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Have any of you ridden both a Roadster and Touring? I'm leaning toward the Roadster, but from what I understand, the Touring actually handles a little better, and with some ECU tuning, the performance is the same, right? Again, thanks for the welcome and great input.

I've never ridden a Standard or Roadster, but the Touring handles great, and is much better looking. And yes, the engines are the same, it's all in the ECU programming and exhaust.

Touring doesn't handle better. The skinnier rear wheel just means it takes less getting used to.

I've found a 2006 Rocket III with less than 3k miles for $7900, which is right at KBB retail. I'm going to look at it this week. It looks like it was someone's garage queen, and appears totally stock. Fingers crossed there's no surprises.
