I ordered their slash cut muffler.
It appears to be chromed and the headers are shiny ceramic.
I want to know if sawing off some of the header end will screw up the ceramic coating.
Perhaps the location for the muffler mounting plate was incorrect?
It appears to be about an inch too far to the rear.
I believe it would be much easier to trim the header than to relocate that plate.
I also want the muffler lower. As it is it will burn my panniers as it is.
Thinking I may have to relocate my panniers.
I would look into making a plate to adjust the muffler mount and lower the muffler height if that makes sense. But I don't know if you have metal working skills or access to the equipment. I would make something for you if you were closer.
@1olbull the muffler would be polished stainless. This is very odd if you ordered the production headers and muffler. There is nothing inside the muffler pipe stopping it sliding right on. A bit of weld splatter or a burr? It might be easier if possible to get a muffler shop to expand the stainless pipe on the muffler further, closer to the can so it slides on further. This is strange, it should fit.

@bruce aussie@Mittzy OK, Mates!
Taking a tip from @albertaduke's neighbor, I broke out the 2# sledge.
Using my rubber mallet as a buffer against the inside baffle at the end of the muffler, I whacked it forward a few times!
Got it pretty darn close - EXCEPT . . . how do you deal with the welded boss on the inside of the forward mount?
The muffler mount plate is flat and straight and the rear mount surface (right rear foot peg) is set about .5 inch outboard of the forward mount position?

Bull don't cut the headers .. anything is a better option than doing that mate. Brackets , mounting plates whatever are easy fab for muffler shop or anyone working with steel. Sure perseverance will get it fitted up as the others have stated.
