We had great fun riding with Idaho Red Potato 3, Bill, from Nampa, @albertaduke @smokit2 and the lovely talented rider, @Tbirdgirl all the way to Vernal, UT where we hooked up with @Rolltide100 Greg

I'm looking to put together a two day easy fun ride around the Loop (Olympic peninsula) within the next 2 or 3 weeks.
I'd love to have ya'all come ride!

I'm on call at work starting this Friday and can't be more than an hour or so from home then family vacation August 18th thru the 22nd.

I really like the Leavenworth idea but the fire might put a damper on that. I'm also only on call between 4:30 pm and 6 am. I would take a day off to go riding with you guys in the daytime hours on a weekday. Would be great riding in a group of Rockets and to meet some of you!

Now thinking about it August 15th and 16th may work for me too.

If anyone remembers the show Northern Exposure Roslyn is right up there where it was filmed. Not exactly next door to the peninsula but...
 
Been to Roslyn many many times.
Used to spend hours riding the coal hills back in the 60s & 70s.
Nice Tavern - not much else there for a road bike.

There is some really kick ass jerky shop on the way up the hill and of course there IS the tavern!

BTW...there is a huuuge antique motorcycle owners swap meet this weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) in Tenino, Wa.

It's about 10 miles south of Olympia on Hwy 99. Lots of old bikes, parts, gear, etc. for sale cheap. Sellers come from all over the western half of the USA each with multiple tables full of old school goodies.

Was just in Tenino Saturday. Breakfast with some riding buddies at Scotty Bs.
Nice little 50 mile rip for me.

Scotty B's has the best prime rib on every Friday evening that exist anywhere within a 30 mile radius...by far! That is my wife's favorite dinner spot when we go out for a ride on her days off. I am picking up my teenage grand daughter friday night in SeaTac near the airport and she will be going to the swap meet with the wife and I on Saturday morning. Hopefully, we can ride up to get her - but the weatherman doesn't look like he is gonna cooperate.:(
