Rocket Owners Northwest

Sounds fun but I probably won't be available until August 23rd for anything like that. If you do it sooner I could try and meet up somewhere for a couple of hours. I'm on call at work starting this Friday and can't be more than an hour or so from home then family vacation August 18th thru the 22nd.

I really like the Leavenworth idea but the fire might put a damper on that. I'm also only on call between 4:30 pm and 6 am. I would take a day off to go riding with you guys in the daytime hours on a weekday. Would be great riding in a group of Rockets and to meet some of you!

Now thinking about it August 15th and 16th may work for me too.

@Torque addict
I did this kind of thing back in 2004 when I got my Kaw V2K.
We got 25 bikes together the first time and I met some great friends that I still see regularly today.
I IS great fun and in similar fashion to RAA in so far as putting faces to names you know from cyber space.
We'll see what we can work out for a hook-up.

Steve,

I can't make this ride -still waiting on shipper to get my bike out to me. Thanks for the invite. I'll post here with some up to date pics when she gets here.

You got me curious now!
Shipping your bike? Does this have something to do with the 224 HP?
Also would like to know what you think about that 210 Carp kit.

i would do leavenworth. however i am rocketing down to vegas on thursday and do not get back until about august 11th. could do any time after that.

I bought the bike from Carpenter and the shipping company has been unable to find a carrier (I specifically picked them because their quote said pick up would occur within 3-5 days.) I have been contacting other carriers, but we're in the middle of the "busy" season... :-(

I have never ridden the bike so my opinion of the bike is limited (I have ridden two R3's on test drives.) As far at the "210" kit is concerned, 224 HP and 176 lb.ft. at the rear wheel should suffice. ;-)

I need to beg out of this run, I'm getting married on August 2nd. I offered to her that we could ride to the Testy Fest or Sturgis to get hitched up but she wanted a church wedding instead :).

Dam! I'd hop a plane and then ride that puppy home!
Now that I think of it - just can't believe I almost forgot - I have a delivery service!
For the airfare, I ride motors home to Tacoma for owner pickup!!!
