Rocket owners average age!

I have been riding (legally) well sort of, for 52 years first bike a 500cc Royal Enfield Bullet a real one made in England ,69 and counting:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I learnt to ride at 13.... learnt on a BMW R750 in a car park... then accidentally on purpose drove off onto the road...oops. Got the itch for bikes well before then, but learning on something that actually had a bit of grunt was the best way to make sure it never stopped itching... I remember riding my Rocket Roadster out to Alice with a bunch of guys...oldest guy there was 75 and going strong. He was on a Z900 - he said the only way he’d stop riding was when they put him a box in the ground. At 58 I know exactly how he feels.

I know the feeling ,I grew up in the bush my grandfather had the adjoining property and we had old spike wheeled Fordson tractors,a couple of 4x4 blitz wagons and a few old motor bikes left over from Dads youth so I could drive and ride from a very early age, There is wonderful old fellar who has a collection of Classic bikes who still regularly rides on a restricted license to the Pie in the Sky at Cowan and he is in his early 90s so there is still hope for us more mature gentlemen :thumbsup:

A great meeting place for bike riders ,yes the run up the hill is a fantastic piece of road some nice corners ,however it is heavily policed on the weekends so our group of older blokes usually go up there on weekdays ,lots of boy racers on the weekend riding like they are in the GP and lots of gutzers from over extending of young and old blokes skills ,hence the saturation by Highway Patrol cars and bikes

Scott, wasn't the average like 53 years back then?
Me also reckons that one of our astute young members take on this task.
Whomever takes on the challenge must take care not to include duplicate posts.
Come on, younguns! Step up an do the tally . . . :D  :inlove
Total of 4069 years divided by 73 responses = 55.7 years average age.
That was 3 years ago.
