Rocket indicators. Self cancelling?

all touring RIII bikes have self canceling indicators . they are controlled by the ECU, the other models have a relay that controls them. the ECU is programed to cancel them based on time and whether you are moving or setting still.

I remembered I got an owners manual when I bought my R3T so I dug it out and looked up what it says about the turn signals. Turns out they are a combination of time and distance.

eggzackery right, good find, some of our intersections have long time waiting between changes and I have never had my R3T self cancel while the lights go through the sequence sometimes for over 60 seconds

You honestly think Triumph spec different electronics for each country? - ESP in a limited edition vehicle like the X.

maybe use hand signals/arm signals ? see how long you go before you cancel that

More research is needed I see. I will attempt to complete it in a day or so. It was right at 80mph when it took about 14 sec so that makes the distance a little less than 1/4 mile. I will try different speeds, mostly higher for the research.
I wonder if the boys in blue will believe me when I tell them it is for research only and I will NEVER go that fast again.

Um, you probably don't know what a Tourer actually is but anyway, none of them anywhere in the world came with self cancelling indicators. Not sure what your point is. Pig ignorance and name calling so soon. Good job!
