Rocket fixed. It was the stepper motor

So then the bad stepers are over driving the linkage to the point of gettin scary on the road?????

Yea, when you are riding down a mountain with twisties and your bike doesnt drop the RPM's to give that throttle control that is needed.

Im guessing since it all electrical driven... the stepper motor just started going haywire.

I did a really nice ride today through some twisties in the San Bernadino mountains (with stepper motor still unplugged) and the bike handled great through throttle control and downhill engine braking..

Im becoming very ANTI stepper motor since it seems to be one of the major faults of the RIII.. throughout numerous tunes in the past few years and it still has issues. I don't believe unplugging it is a bandaide to the ongoing problem, but more a solution to an obviously defective part.

maybe a little over-engineering for idle that should be controlled so simply..

I don't know that I can convince myself that it is worth it to invest in another one... my 05 RIII with 40k+ miles on it is running better than it ever has since Ive owned it.
