Not much boost under about 3,000 rpm. If he was in top gear, that's around 120 KPH/ 75 MPH..... didn't seem to be going that fast... if he was he woulda ended up further in the ditch???

As a few have said, his general riding style before the prang was all over the place.

No point buying any lotto tickets I think he's had share of luck there. Few trees on the side of the road there none with his name on them. I'm thinking turtle may have popped his head out though, might need some new jocks to go with the new bike.

For a while he was just using the power advantage to pull away then back off on the turns ,then he started to try take the turns a little faster than his skill level allowed, in my opinion he was baited into a ego saving position, because he was wasn't riding full noise before the camera bike caught him only after the tail gateing started the following bike was all over him like a cheap suit,
I have seen some Biffo start from this type of riding, me included

Agree Rick .. remember riding up through the Snowies with a mate chasing me on his V-Rod Muscle. I had him a bit on ground clearance but a few of those corners I had her over so f#ckin hard I thought I was off for sure. I was in "that f#ckin v-rod ain't getting round me" headspace  .. foolish but fun when you survive it. And the bragging rights last for months .

A camera can be a dangerous thing. Saturday, in WV I see an oncoming rider with a helmet mounted GoPro. He's looking like he wants to ask something, I slow down and he does a u-turn and is riding next to me, trying to talk. I think he wants something so I signal that I'll pull over, so we can talk. I hear him yell, "NO, DON'T STOP."

OK, I keep going...He takes off going my direction now, he's in front and camera is facing forward, so not affecting me at all.

I'm just tailing him, cause now he's doing a decent speed. We catch up to a pack of 7 Harleys with a small pick-up truck stuck behind them.

This guy passes the pick-up and the bikes and pulls up next to the leader and starts doing a live on camera interview from the left lane....with 6 Harleys a truck and me following...the me following didn't last long but WHAT? REALLY? WHY?

SLOPPY cornering,he was above his skill level. In hindsight, he could walk away from the bike behind him on the straightaways, why push the cornering? He was VERY fortunate to not wrap himself around one of those trees when he went down, when I was young, I was determined to learn everything the hard way too.

Clearly out of his depth. Crossing the centre line ect...never looked comfortable from the get go, probably feeling the pressure, thinking he had to keep in front of a less powerful but some what more agile speed triple. Ride like a dumass and this is what will happen... that's my 2cents..

Yeah he definitely wasnt a good rider thats 4 sure

Just my take on it after watching it several times his rear shocks were soggy and not copping on a few corners he got a bit of wallow and like Mittzy said I think he hit a dip under brakes which caused the a wallow and scared him into panic braking and applied his rear brake to hard

Yeah i also thought his rear shocks seemed to wollow almost like he had them set on 1 or 2 even though he was a fat **** and loaded up and also the tire didnt seem to have correct pressure either . That with a guy on the back who couldnt ride a merry go round and u have a recipe for disaster

He sure had the legs on the straights ,he should have just let the camera bike pass then annoy the sh** out of him barging up behind him on the straights ,let him get away on the corners , but on his ar** again as soon as he straightened up, the guy on the Rocket needs to be taught a bit about laying the beast over and leaning with the bike not away from the corner and a bit of counter steer would help , I am surprised he lasted as long as he did, no doubting his ticker, just his experience on the Rocket, Too much Gun for some!
