Rocket 240 requirements

Last trip to WV we discussed requirements for the 240 Carpenter bike, some said 93 octane, some said 90 i said 87, just in case i used 93 on the way back.
When i got home, i called Carpenter and talked to Bob Carpenter himself, i asked him all the questions i had, this is what he said;
Gasoline;; 87 octane.
Oil;;; Amsoil 15w40 Diesel marine full synthetic.
Valve adjustment schedule;;;not valve adjustment needed, only the chain tensioner and call him when ready to adjust.

Anybody agrees, disagrees or have better advise?

Same as he told me. However because I don’t ride it that much anymore, I run ethanol free high octane, just because it's the only ethanol free available. Plus gas loses octane sitting over time, so there's that benefit. Do you have a 240 already, I can't remember? If not, you could buy mine.
