Hey guy's, what choice of tyres is there apart from the stock Metzler:confused:. I know people say that they don't get much from there tyres but as far as I know that's a cruiser thing. It's just that reading through some of the posts on the forum some people aren't happy with the Metzler and I was wondering what other tyres you guy's go for both front and rear????

I Have a Bridgestone Excedra Max on the back its a 240/55/16
And a Avon Cobra on the front.
A tyre dealer told me the Metz that come new on the bike could be two years old (Don't know if this is true???) thus the tyre goes off somehow...... and does not last.
I did 5,500klms on my Metz rear (It did die of a smoking related illness ) and 6,500 on the Metz front, I am happier with the brand change.

I've got ExedraMAX front and rear on my 90 Mittzy wear life isn't that great but it holds well to the road. Also mine is only a 200 not a 240. You don't experience any handling issues running two different brand tyres???

Yes we did a group buy, someof us imported the 240 for that same price - i think from the same dealer..... Caused a spirited debate over supporting local business etc ect.
It does pose a valid argument tho...

F/R I run 42/40....down to 40/36 if I'm going to get them hot over a long time/distance
