What are you guys paying out the door for the roadsters?

Thinking about one... R3 stands for 3 Rockets in the garage...

Thanks

You might want to check your math there, Frank. The base price for a T-Bird is $12,499. I got mine for $12,499 out the door. That's $3,000 less than you paid for the Roadster.

Wet weights:

Roadster - 807
T-Bird - 746

Mine is 733, however, so he's closer to having "twice the bike" if measuring against mine.

The Tbird I was looking at was the 1700. By the time I got through with the engine, like I did with my Bonnie, it would have been more. Opted for the Roadster with way more power, and no mistaking it for a Triumph.

Yes, the factory installed big bore kit T-Bird has a MSRP of $14,799. Personally, I wouldn't do that. 12 extra hp and 9 extra ft lbs of torque isn't worth $2,300 to me. I could have the big bore kit put in mine for $800 cheaper ($1,500) than the factory bike. Of course, the factory bike comes with a special paint job. My point is I wouldn't pay $1,500 either. Although, I have to admit I do like the "phantom haze red" color scheme on the 1700 T-Bird. But again, not enough to pay $2,300 extra.

Now, as far as looks go, to each his, but I think the T-Bird looks a 1000 times better. I used to own a R3T, btw, so don't go thinking I don't like Rockets. I do.
