Hey guys,
Recently bought a 2012 Roadster. Looking to do a few mods initially and am looking for the best package of parts for what I'm doing. The next two things I am sure of.
1. Carpenter exhaust with baffle
2. K and N under bearclaw filters

My question is, what else do I need to do to optimize this thing for performance?
Factory brain with tune?
Tuneboy?
Dobeck?
Gpro atr?
O2 sensor delete?
Remove secondary butterflies?

I'm just looking for the best combo and tune for the exhaust/filters I'm running. Thanks for any help, Torpedo

first how much money do you want to spend? based on that ,recommendations can be more accurately

Cheapest option will be Tune ECU but if you want to keep things simple go the Dobeck, GIPro, remove secondaries route. That's pretty much what I did and am very happy with the results. Or if you want to have more options you could go with a PCV with Autotune (along with TuneECU). That will cost a bit more but Hanso will help you get the best out of it.

It depends on who is tuning the bike and what system they use. Most use Power commander units so you would need to hook up to the ecu with one of the softwares available and load a tune in that has had things changed in it to unleash the ecu then If your tuner only uses power commander units you will need to ad it so he can tune it in for you. Like I said it depends on where you are. If your close to MN then ther is a guy up there that uses tune boy. If yur near Birmingham Alabama Wayne Trip does it all. If your near New Jersey then you need what Carpenter Racing uses. I know Bob has a R3T in for the brute pipe install and custom tuning. Word is he is going to spend some time on it to see how much he can get out of her with just his pipe.

Where are you?

Thanks for the replies. As far as money goes.....I just want a bike that has great power but doesn't sputter or pop. I'm in Michigan so somewhat in the middle of all the names of tuners mentioned. I was going to send my ECU to Bob to have him run his program on it. I just want the best system possible with the parts I had mentioned. At some point I may go the cylinder head route with the cams but probably not for a bit.

That will work especailly if you do not have tune boy all Bob will have to do is get the key for it and he can load the tune. she will spunk up real good I love the pipe and am going to order another one for my other bike. I am goignt o bring her in th ebasement for the winter stage 1 modification and complete paint job. After having a high HP rocket she feels like a dog at 150 hp. That can be fixed though real quich like 240 will pep her up a bit. :D

So should I go with the smaller K and N filters (don't know part number), to keep it under the bearclaw and remove the secondaries?

the larger RX 4040-1 would be better but if you do not want to cut the bear claw then the RU2780 (little cone ones) is what you will have to run.
