Roadster cat replacement pipe


I want! How did you get a hold of them? And what do I need to do to get on the list of the first batch?! Those sound perfect for me. I always thought the cans on the Jardine kit could be bigger. I assume they will use the same header and collector, just different from under the bike and back. Is there an email? Phone number? Is it just the one on the site? I'm too excited to do any research before posting this giddy-ness...

I just got off the phone with someone at Jardine. I asked him for some pictures of the new system and some more info on the system. He said he will email me the info and pictures. Currently there is no news on the site and he's been meaning to get them up there, but hasn't gotten around to it.

I told him if he got me some pictures and info, I'd post it up here. So as soon as I get the email, I'll post.

Now I'm expecting that the new system will fit the previous models with little modifications. From what I understand, there is a mounting point that is only a couple mm off from the previous versions of the R3. It would be much easier to fir Roadster exhaust on a pre 2010 than the other way around due to the ABS box.
 
Surely the cheapest and easiest fix to ditch all the cats is- remove the under gearbox catbox, leave the right hand TOR, and make up a short dogleg straight through pipe to connect the header to the TOR - and abracadabra - and you have a 3 into 1 cat less straight through exhaust! Saves weight . costs nothing, might work?

I'm going to get a bit of flexi pipe or make up a short joint piece and try it for a test - nil cost, probably too loud , but I'd like to hear what it sounds like. There's a big HD rally near me in a couple of weeks so it would be kinda cool to not only blast them in to the heather but deafen them as well!!

Just installed the 20355-2 map (thanks to Tune ecu and you guys- brilliant,) and am enjoying the extra bite on acceleration and top end with open secondaries. (Wife now screams on the back!) Also found a dyno man nearby so will invest in some set-up time soon.

that thought has crossed my mind as well of course. We have to check with the performance guys to see if there are any disadvantages with this idea. you will get less exhaust, having one pipe instead of two of course.

otherwise, just brilliant!
 
Well I used to have a 3 into 1 megaphone exhaust on my roadbike T150V in the 70's - and it went pretty well-not as well as Slippery Sam but howled like nothing I'd heard before - So one "silencer" doesn't need to to be a problem if it matches the gas flow & back pressure pulses....

But any advice welcome for an R3 -after all it's a 3 times bigger engine but still has a 120 deg crank.......!
 
Finally got it in from Staintunes in Australia. SST and $461.00 delivered. Soon as bike is out of shop, I'll install this and the 1" taller filters, then retune.
Man, this would be cheap to fabricate out of CS.

I love these .... both the color and the look in general. Looks like they're slip-ons. How 'bout these puppies and the Jardine header? If the Jardine header ends in such a way as to allow you to use any pipes built for the R3R then I think I may love Jardine forever.
pégase ... any more info on these? The French forum doesn't seem to have info on where they came from (though Google translate is a tad rough).
