Due to work and illness my R3T sat for 6 months wit untreated fuel. Now it will start with starting fluid but not idle clean or long. I'm going to pull Injectors to clean them - does anyone know if I have to remove throttle bodies to get to them or is there access with throttle bodies inplace?
if it were mine I would get all the gas out of the tank then put a couple of good gallons in
then start it with starting fluid and try to keep it running with the fluid will probably run on that old gas once it gets hot.
i would not get to close to throttle bodies if it back fires it will give you a good hair cut lol
Add half a bottle of "Cataclean" (one bottle is sufficient for an average car) then fill tank with high-octane super unleaded, the highest octane you can get. This stuff will cleanout the entire fuel system with the use of that one tank of fuel. Run it low, then refill with normal 94 RON
Give it a good dose of injector cleaner and an Italian tune, it's way more fun than pulling injectors and is mostly like going to fix the issue. That's my philosophy anyway.
Finally after chemo, knee replacement and total shoulder replacement and it is below 110 degrees in the garage I got to work to change the fuel filter, among other things. Imagine my surprise when I pulled it out and the Ethanol gods had left me a gift. The baffle that holds the stainless Chore...

I ended up rebuilding/replacing the entire in tank system.
