Reset adaptions

In Tune ECU after loading a tune I always do an adaption reset. Is this the same thing that doing a 12 minute tune would do?
So its not necessary to do a 12 min tune? Just do that reset?
Anyone know?

Resetting the adaptions clears the adaptive memory.
A "12-minute tune-up" forces new short-term adaptions to take place for current sensor readings (changes in fuel, altitude, etc.)
