Received this from Tampa dealer and link to Daily Herald ( UK)

I like my big strong bike. If Euro Urbanites want little scooters they can have them I just hope Triumph does not forget the rural riders that still appreciate a performance motorcycle.
Nope you want an American sized bike - you'll have to make one - like a Harley.:p Or more to the point a Goldwing. But there are better, more manageable performance bikes out there. They are however Japanese, Austrian or Italian - unless you want something bespoke.

And lest we forget - Triumph took on the US with things like the Bonneville. VERY few folk buy the machine - they buy into what it comes with.

". . . And your father's still perfecting ways of making sealing wax"
No - I took over that aspect of the family business - messes up the Ethernet cables something rotten!.

Had Triumph ever bothered to alert the world to the existence of the R3, they could have kept it around as a flag ship for the brand. Think Corvette.
Fred I give you another Great Car name - JAGUAR. Sports cars - big performance land-yachts, right?.

Know which model outsells all others put together? - The F-Pace: a modern "me-too" SUV. And not overly expensive.

Whilst it may distress me - I cannot argue with "what folk want" - it's commercial democracy.

Want another that has lost the plot? - Land Rover. That's why I hope these guys succeed. Projekt Grenadier – Building an Uncompromising 4×4

Will not forget them just will not make bikes for them:eek::D
Forget who?

Of course REAL rural riders know the bikes need to be small. @idk

Sorry Fred but the rocket is well known in the motorcycle world, truth is not many people like it, it is a big ugly bike powerful but butt ugly, that is the main reason it is not a big seller.

Well, these aren't exactly eye candy, but people love them. Doesn't seem fair !

I need a heavy touring cruiser....I've got a light cruiser and a sportster already. If Triumph can't supply, I know four or five or more makes that can.
