Down Coorong and overnight wherever we get to sounds good to me . Don't want to rush GOR on the way there , do a bit of sightseeing . Malcy that would be great to get us accommodated like at HB. Really looking forward to catching up with you blokes and doing some good roads together. Malcy you coming to Tassie ?

Definitely need to all be at the same place if possible.

Been checking out the map and looking for a good place to join up with @TOMCAT and @mr hunt and there seems little point not coming all the way over to or near Adelaide. Anywhere else pretty much takes me through Melbourne and then back tracking. That means Murray Bridge (or Tailem Bend) if you're going through that way. Otherwise Adelaide.

Early days yet but planning on taking the Sturt and Mallee H'ways going through Wagga Wagga, Narandera, Hay, Balranald and Ouyen.

Alternatively I could take a detour and meet up with @Malcy at Bendigo or Dimboola if he's going that way.

Hotel be no good for TC. He'll just lock himself out of his room. hahaha

I was actually keeping an eye on the ***cin bikes .. could have got back into my room anytime I wanted ..with one of those SWAT battering rams ..credit card behind the lock failed numerous times . Probably because I was ***cin shaking so much from the cold .. important thing was you got your beauty sleep mate :sneaky: glad the publican was ok about me stealing his coat ..hahahaha. We should stay there again mate

Be great to have a decent group ride from Adelaide but I'd be happy to ride the GOR out of Torquay as a day ride over the weekend. That way we could head inland beforehand to meet up with you northerners if thats easier for all concerned? We'll be riding back to Adelaide after Tassie so mixing up the route is fine by me.

Certainly good to have an open mind about this but as far as I'm concerned, I'm not riding to Torquay to go riding. I'm riding to Torquay to meet up with whoever is there. Not saying a few outings won't be a good thing but I'll have covered around 2,000km to get there, hopefully riding Tassie afterwards and then 700km home. Want to be able kick back and relax and maybe even party.

If you're not doing the GOR on your way there I'll most likely go straight to Torquay - but maybe with a small detour to meet you on the ay - and ride the GOR back with you. Still a way off but that's my thinking.

Ok fellas I have sent an email to the Torquay foreshore caravan park just to give them the heads up and I will be contacting them during business hours tomorrow as I prefer to speak to someone in person to see what kind of a deal they will do. Camping spots also available for those wishing to camp or use trailers.
www.torquaycaravanpark.com.au If you want to check it out. For those who have not been down the Great ocean road and would like an easy lazy day of scenic views well this park is but a stone throw from it and is a leisurely ride with fine eating establishments along the way. For those who want to go inland a bit well just head North up to Geelong and beyond into the hills through various places, again with some fine food stops en route. For those wanting to go to the GP then go East to Queenscliff and catch the ferry across to Sorrento and on towards the Island. Anyone in need of the more common parts which fail cables, levers etc the Triumph dealer is in easy reach in Geelong, I will ask that if a couple of these could be put on the shelf just in case.
Richard I will stay in touch regarding meeting up at some point, need to check my maps etc.
TC I plan to do the ride to Tas with you fellas, anyway guy's I will put up more when I find out more regarding the accommodation prices, etc.

BTW I am guessing the group numbers will be 20 to 30, would that be a fair call ??

:)Leaving from Adelaide, we can do GOR either on the way there or on the way back thats a good thing

As Catherine's never done the GOR on a bike that's the way we'll be going .. Adelaide to RDU via the GOR. She won't be returning to Adelaide with me , got to get back to work (and the 100th anniversary of ANZAC troop ships leaving Albany for WW1 .. she is on the towns disaster committee and has be here ... Albanys expecting 70,000 visitors .. populations only 30,000 ) .. so if you guys do decide to do otherwise that's cool but we only got one shot at GOR.
