Ok fellas I have sent an email to the Torquay foreshore caravan park just to give them the heads up and I will be contacting them during business hours tomorrow as I prefer to speak to someone in person to see what kind of a deal they will do. Camping spots also available for those wishing to camp or use trailers.
www.torquaycaravanpark.com.au If you want to check it out. For those who have not been down the Great ocean road and would like an easy lazy day of scenic views well this park is but a stone throw from it and is a leisurely ride with fine eating establishments along the way. For those who want to go inland a bit well just head North up to Geelong and beyond into the hills through various places, again with some fine food stops en route. For those wanting to go to the GP then go East to Queenscliff and catch the ferry across to Sorrento and on towards the Island. Anyone in need of the more common parts which fail cables, levers etc the Triumph dealer is in easy reach in Geelong, I will ask that if a couple of these could be put on the shelf just in case.
Richard I will stay in touch regarding meeting up at some point, need to check my maps etc.
TC I plan to do the ride to Tas with you fellas, anyway guy's I will put up more when I find out more regarding the accommodation prices, etc.

BTW I am guessing the group numbers will be 20 to 30, would that be a fair call ??

30 should cover it .. the procrastinators and last minute deciders .. you know how it is on the big jobs Malcy

As Catherine's never done the GOR on a bike that's the way we'll be going .. Adelaide to RDU via the GOR. She won't be returning to Adelaide with me , got to get back to work (and the 100th anniversary of ANZAC troop ships leaving Albany for WW1 .. she is on the towns disaster committee and has be here ... Albanys expecting 70,000 visitors .. populations only 30,000 ) .. so if you guys do decide to do otherwise that's cool but we only got one shot at GOR.

Well that's what I'll be doing.

Anyone else heading down from SEQ ? Seems i will definitely be in attendance for this , had a chat to the Chief of Fun Police last night and she's happy for me to restructure my holidays this year so i can attend RDU . Made me promise that i have to visit her parents at Colac , will also be visiting my Mum at Ballarat and my Sis and brother inlaw at Bass. Would like to make the trip to Tassie seeing as i was born there and spent up until my late teens there . What day are you leaving for Tas on the canoe ? And when are you returning ? Just need dates so i can work out what leave i need , never done the GOR either so fitting that in also is a must do this trip , cant feckin wait.

We'll be sitting down Sunday working out dates/flights etc .. assuming we'll be heading over to Tassie on 20th. Take four days to do our lap I'm guessing. Me and Catherine have to jump on a plane and shoot up to Brissy for a couple of days sometime. Me and Hunty will be heading back to Adelaide , he'll be jumping on a plane and heading home to Perth .. i'll be getting my bike (and his) down to Lushie.

Ill be having the 11th till the 26th off , Tassie may not be an option though due to costs and not leaving me enough time to get home comfortably , im estimating on the Qld-Vic-Qld legs 700klm per day roughly will be sufficient without pushing it , ideally heading back home on the 22nd would be best for me.
