RDU isn't a ride Dave. It's a gathering, although I dare say those of us traveling there are likely to want to meet up at some point and hit the place as a pack. That was the absolute best part of Hervey Bay. That, and meeting everyone. If certain folk are going to be coming across from the west then we may see plenty of us detour to meet them part way. Reckon you could twist Ponters' arm and go test out some roads and pubs without necessarily linking it to RDU. Bloody good idea if you ask me.

Superb idea Dave , recon for RDU 2014 . It could be a rolling pub-crawl / sightseeing trip all along the Great Ocean Road .. wouldn't that be excellent. Maybe leave it till 20th or 21st of November and a few of us could come with you. Be a few of us down that way then mate
