don't worry there will only be a tasting on Thursday night still have the last leg down to Torquay the next day and I ain't gonna be responsible for someone getting DUI

Good idea, I will be more interested in getting a good feed (with deserts) on Thursday night than getting on the drink , from memory I think there is a Tavern just around the corner from the Motel

Well I have just done 100km to make sure the new DS and front Dunlop Elite 3 and new front and back brake pads are working properly it was glorious day and I tortured myself :whitstling: by by riding over to Ruzz's 30km away got home ready to put bike away and ended up picking up Ann after she came out wearing jacket and gear and wanted to go for a ride so we went for a coffee 20km the other way so that's 100km all up, verdict bike is running like a dream and deemed ready for trip

I should have my new front tyre on tomorrow, a bit of confusion on the Excedra front tyre some reports are good some bad, as I will be taking it easy I don't think my riding will be effected by the differences in tyre performance,

from memory it was the front excedra not the max (I think the max may only be available in smaller sizes) that gave poor performance on 150/80/17 inch fronts, check with Richard (@CanberraR3) or Mal (@The Kiwi) as they are a couple of the guys that tried one and I think it was more a case of low km's out of tyre than handling

I recently learned that europecar is renting BMW GS1200's from the airport... But ***ed if I am paying $280per day and a $2500 bond and $5000 insurance excess :mad:
Would have been fun. I think I will be hiring a car :( but at least I will be there :D

This weekend , Engine and rear drive oil changes , take ramair off and clean , go over the bike and check no loose fittings , tire air pressures , wash it all and fit a extra length iphone cable , i would like to check the steering head bearing torque does anyone know what the setting is please ?

Ken, pretty sure there's an Exedra Max in the Touring stock size. For the non-touring, there is only the Exedra which is what I was disappointed with. If the rear is anything to go by, the Max should be much better.

take it easy on your final drive plug ok.... you don't need any last minute dramas
maybe try the ol VMax Furbur test on the steering head first
