**** must be a bloody google trojan some dickheads unleashed. people who do that piss me off, every 15 to 20 seconds. Just let the blokes know if they get an email that hasn't been mention on the forum delete it without opening it for the next month or so whilst I go on the search for the trojan crap.

as there is no set agenda and we have a very nice Zoo just 10 min's out of town at Mogo you may have heard of Mogo Zoo it has white lions and heaps of other rare creatures, a nice family and adult outing and the road there is good too

Right the Zoo sound like a good place for a group photo in front of the ape cages, we can all pick the one that resembles us the most and post him with our name. ROTFLMFAO

My honest opinion we can go for a ride any where any time and most of us do several times a year, the intent was one ride a year we could do something different. Will be interesting to how far the RDU event travels around Australia.

My honest opinion is that Amanda and I contribute fortnightly to the Red Cross and regularly to Make a Wish, Starlight and other charities including the RSPCA throughout the year. On the other hand, I've had one opportunity to get together and ride with all you guys from Queensland and the yobbos from Victoria - except for TC who I also saw at Easter. Something different for me one time a year is just catching up with these guys, not more of the same charity stuff I do all year. I realise for some it's different but for many of us we spend a lot of time looking out for others eg Hanso's cross dressing fetish, the work TC does with young people, Ponters' philanthropic endeavours and so on.

No one was sarcastic about Hervey Bay. We all have a right to say what's on our minds and to speak up and contribute to the discussion of how we want to spend our time and money. And some of us chose to say so directly, not sarcastically at all. My recollection is that everyone at Hervey Bay actively participated in the event you arranged and everyone acknowledged your contribution. I spent a couple of thousand dollars to be there, traveled for 6 days and spend a fair bit at the auction. Fact is, reflecting on what I wanted for RDU at the outset (and well before you took charge of the Hervey Bay event), what many of us wanted was merely to get together from all over Australia.

And I still feel the same way mate. So stop sulking and get on board with us this time.

I think you are being a bit harsh there Richard It may have been your suggestion to have a get together and we talked and talked and talked about it .........

But I t was Marty that got It happening and I don't know if you have actually organised a get together or rally but there is a lot of work and yes there was some sarcasms well phrased so as not to be to clear they were there until you read between the lines
Also if you do not have a local Guy organising it just wouldn't work so maybe you should give Marty the Kudos he deserves instead of condemning him and I can tell you it is not about you or I but us and you should think about that the next time you start shooting down someone's suggestion it isn't just about you

" Fact is, reflecting on what I wanted for RDU at the outset (and well before you took charge of the Hervey Bay event), what many of us wanted was merely to get together from all over Australia. "

If he hadn't come up with the suggestion of Hervey Bay it would not have happened and we would still be talking about it, I noticed You did not suggest Canberra and when it was suggested you backed away very quickly!

Coming up with an Idea and actually making it happen is to different things, as far as I am concerned I find it a lot easier to remember Who made it happen than the guy who threw the idea out there in the wind hoping some body would grab it

some time ago while I was trying to involve you in this years event at Batemans Bay I suggest that the Victorians might like to make a two day trip up the coast and one of us could meet them at say Lakes Entrance or Can River and lead them thru some nice riding country, you agreed then the other week you jump on there and say why don't they come up to your place and ride down to the Bay with you! sorry but apart from the last section coming down the Clyde Mtn the trip is boring

then I suggest that the northerners might like to meet one of us at Bathurst and come down the coast via Bowral, Kangaroo Valley a nice scenic ride not a hard ride if taken at a sensible pace also safe, again because that didn't suit you, You condemned it

Now I say to you stop thinking about what you want Get On Board and think of the greater group and allow some discussion and lastly also give some respect to the location organiser....... remember you didn't want the job and fobbed it of when suggested

DING DING - Corners please........ Get ready for round Two
That's all I will say on the matter

"I don't have a dog in this fight" .. as our American friends are fond of saying. What I do know is if you keep these shindigs simple .. they are enjoyable for all. KIS keep it simple

and that is what I am doing for the Batemans Bay RDU but the ride here is one of the main parts of the experience otherwise you might as well just jump in a bus, after doing all those open country roads a nice bit of easy going thru some of the most scenic country in this great land of ours it. Bathurst to the Batemans Bay via the Kangaroo Valley is only 429km approx. 6hr riding not including stops and believe me you will want to see Fitzroy Falls probably have lunch in the Kanga' Valley so it is not like it would be a extra long day and who knows if you would be in this neck of the woods again
