Ramair filter arrived...

RAMAIR all fitted up, only had a 15 km ride, all good. The only annoying condition is a short chirping sound at a certain throttle opening, is this normal. I certainly did not hear the sound before the Aramair.
Thought it might have been a air leak somewhere but can't find any issues there.

You've got the common crickets... you could try to sound deaden the inside of your claw.

Its intake induction noise, if you have the secondary's at 100% its more noticeable.

I thought getting rid of the crickets was part of the design brief for Ramair. Did you have the bear claw back on, Jim? Maybe you need to see about getting one of Les' modified claws.

as Les said it is induction noise when a certain amount of vacuum in the throttle bodies cause a resonance you will find that if you ease the throttle a tad it will be less also as Richard said one of Les's claws will reduce if not stop the noise being noticeable

I have the std bar claw back on, but the chirp is different from the air induction noise. I could not hear the chirp with he stock intake pluming.
I will give the bike a good run this weekend and take note of exactly when the chirp comes in.

Jim, the chirping goes away when you open the throttle. Maybe try riding everywhere flat out.....

just got mine the other day. Another four to five months i get to try it out. Unless someone knows where i can get chains for M/C tires
