Ramair filter arrived...

I received one of the RamAir filter kits for testing yesterday. I agree about the quality design of the filter and kit parts. It is nice to see someone that can actually make a good extension harness.
I will not get a chance to test it until next week, but will test it against K&N RU-2780 filters, Pipercross C504D filter with custom base plate. The results will first go to RamAir, but will be shared here soon after.

Awaiting your results with bated breath, just hope my and Ramair's estimates work out else we will have a severe case of 'egg on yer face'. o_O

The comparison to the big C504D filter is going to be really interesting.

According to their website their filter comes pre-impregnated with their own dry polymer for dirt retention. Does the filter feel sticky or oily ? I hate cleaning my K & N's and then have them weep oil all over everything for the next two weeks. That would be reason enough for me to buy one right there. I know some people run them dry but if your going to do that you might just as well run screens to keep the big rocks, birds, HD's etc. out.

the filter is pre-oiled and feel a tad sticky nothing much really.. no oil is included so it is "pre oiled" for the life of the filter I suppose

What (exhaust) pipes will you have fitted Wayne? - Also be interesting (from my POV) to know if with/without claw makes a difference!.

They do cleaning/recharging kits. No idea on life - but in Spain I'll be cleaning yearly at least. It's not hard.
