At this stage, can anyone represent the situation fairly? Can this complex situation be organized somehow to make sense?

It is sad that sarcasm is so rampant in the information stream that used to be called the news. The segments end and very little or no information flows. 24 hour looped crap while people and the country as we know it dies and trillions of $ disappear into thin air.

But staying on the RAAWV channel;
Once one gets their arse in Richwood, how is the risk level there? Is the place clean? Disinfecting my area when I get there anyway. Can bring my bed covers and kindly ask for service to my room be skipped. The main risk would be a healthy carrier in the group or having some dude coming over to check the bikes coughing.

Its really strange to see US response to this

I work with a team of about 600 people around the world, in China, Japan, Europe and they are all in same boat and they are dealing with lockdown and trying to get on with their lives and jobs .
I have folks in Sofia in Bulgaria where the city is in lockdown to avoid Covid (So far they have stuff well under control) and although the population is hurting they are doing what they need to do and the people are regarding it as their patriotic duty to keep the country safe

I already know folks here in NC who were convinced that this was a hoax and have now lost loved ones

There are a lot of older riders in this forum and there are folks like yours truly who are immuno-suppressed after cancer and transplant surgery who are more vulnerable to this sort of thing.

We are all adults and need to make our own decisions - but when you make a bad decision going into a corner too fast you may just wipe yourself out, whereas with this thing a bad decision could take other folks with you

But you live in Cary...…...most folks other than BillB and I don't know about Cary. I was refused service at The Waffle House in Cary because I was "too drunk" after a David Allen Coe concert. Too drunk ? Waffle House ? Come on folks. After dark if a pick up truck enters the Cary city limits and its not made by BMW or Volvo alarms go off.
