Just returned from a weekend trip in Ouray, staying at the Victorian Inn to try it out. Was a very nice place & the innkeeper bent over backwards to make sure we got anything we needed. Only complaint we had was no meat on the breakfast spread because their all vegetarians! Eggs, waffles and everything else under the sun, just no meat! The 23rd of June, Monday, she still has some rooms open, but not a lot. But right across the road is the Box Springs Lodge, they may be able to pick up the extras. But if all want to stay in ONE place, just 10 miles north(+/-)of Ouray, in Ridgeway at the Ridgway-Ouray Lodge & Suites we asked about the dates you'll be there and she said she was wide open right now for reservations.(52 rooms I think) Giving a 10% discount for RAA members, room rates would run $102.60 for 2 Queen beds, $93.60 for 1 King, and she has a few suites with Jacuzzi's in the room for $157.50. If reservations are made soon, Charisse can reserve a block of rooms so everyone can be together. This is in a small town setting. Only draw back is having to walk into motel lobby to access rooms, no door from rooms to outside, all interior. Person to talk to for reservations is Charisse Spear at 1-970-626-5444 (www.RidgwayLodgeAndSuites.com). Have NOT stayed at the place yet, but liked the way it looked when we walked in, well kept up, so will probably do a spring weekend ride up there and spend a night. Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Cortez, Farmington, Aztec area are all a nice days drive from where I live, so this is my stomping ground.IM WITH OTHERS KNOW ITS EARLY BUT NEED HEAD COUNT&HOW MANY ROOMS(CAN ALWAYS CANCEL WHAT WE DONT NEED BE HARD TO RESERVE MORE IF NEEDED AND NOT BE AVAILABLE

I see your point its just nice to be able to drop your gear in a room and not haul it around every day. Its also nice if you feel like sitting out a day you can instead of dropping out all together. I understand if it doesn't work for this area.

All good valid points, grizzdan.
I worked out three circular rides from Montrose, with 21 hotels available Sunday, June 22 to Saturday, June 28. Rates $139 to $58 per night.

Could we combine all of the RAA9 threads into one now, as most of the details seem to have been worked out. I'm assuming that June 23rd-27th is the week and we are staying at the Days Inn, Montrose as a central location for the rides. If this is so I will be reserving a room.
