RAA 9 June 2014 Colorado head count

I was poking fun at the fact that Chris rode Lupes Harley to the meet, which would explain his lack of tire wear....:p
My harley's tire is wore out:( but hey, his rocket's tire is in great cdondition:D
it was great riding with him and the rest of the crew:)

Andy did you and 1OLBull do Pikes Peak, we haven't heard anything from him?

Last I saw 1olbull was Thursday, I think.
We did Pikes Peak on the Sunday before I got to Montrose but Steve wasn't with us.

Just got a call from Charlie...his rear end on the Valk broke down near Mobile Alabama. He left it at a shop there and is taking a rental car home to Florida.

I think Charlie should go to his local dealer and grab that Rocket on display.

Just got home. 4550 miles (7325 kms) in the saddle. Peg and I have soreasses but wouldn't have missed it for the world. Great fun guys. We parked the bike in the covered entrance to the hotel last night to shelter from the storm and managed to get home dodging all the storms. Rocket riders truly are a different bunch and I would like to thank thank Watcher and his wife Missy, and also Lupe and Lori for opening their homes to us on the way down.
It was quite an adventure starting with riding through the edge af a Tornado on I69 in Indiana the first day, having to stay in St Louis overnight when Tripps bike broke down. Menudo in Tulsa followed the next day by endless hours through a flat dusty boring hour after hour after hour after hour across Kansas. I think if your dog ran away in Kansas you could watch him go for three days. at the end of the day we ran into a tornado watch with some very scary skies and only one road with no intersections for about 50 miles! Talk about nowhere to hide. made it through that in spite of the running out of gas incident. The rest of the ride in was problem free with the scenery getting more and more spectacular as we approached the Rockies.
Time for a well earned beer now.
