I had a little rain on the way back, but not too much. Apart from the traffic, it was a good trip.

Made it home safe and sound. Not all good here...garage door wide open, all doors open. All the wife's jewelery gone and one of my pistols. On a good note, all of the bikes are accounted for and all of my guns except a .22 pistol. They obviously got interrupted. I hope they come back....

I hope you catch the buggers but on another note whether you think you can protect yourselfs during a break in I am happy this did nothappen when your wife was the only one home. outcomes are to much to gamble now days. I had this happen to me 18 years ago luckly I was home alone except for buddy my pit bull who woke me up when the feller was kicking ing hte front door. Once he enter the house he found himself face the barrel of a loaded 50 AE in which I promised to dump the full mag in his carcus and alow my dog to chew on him while waiting on the cops to show up which is usuaually kind of slow. he seen the error in his judgement and chose to get on his knees and wait for to police. I found that when calling them they respond quicker when you tell them to come befor ethey have to put the feller in a body bag. I am happy you did not loose a whole lot more.

Based on what you guys told me I think you may have an idea who did it.
Guess its time to get a home surveillance system. You can get them that send an alert to your phone with live video.
