The route you mapped out will be a great ride.I'd suggest overnighting in Grangeville and Baker City. Lots of motels, bars and restaurants in Baker City. The Eldorado is clean and inexpensive, easy walking distance to restaurants and bars. Gas right next door or across the street.You'd be able to keep the miles under 300 each day to allow for sightseeing/picture taking. Not sure how big of group you'll end up with, but meals and even gas stops eat up quite a bit of time with a group. One thing about it though, those who've never been in this part of the country will definitely be impressed.As this is probably the first and only time a few of these people will ever be out here we will probably do a combination of the two with some lollygagging along the way.
