I have accumulated over three months vacation time. By the time this run comes about I will be sitting around four months. Figure about a month of just riding around sounds real good.

OK, no Montana.

A day ride from my house (near Spokane) to Lewiston, ID via the east side of Lake Coeur d'Alene and the Spiral Hiway into Lewiston. It is 216 miles, about 4.5 hours. Could stop there or get closer to Hell's Canyon.

Or, a fairly tame 5+ hour ride from my house to Baker City Or to set up for Hell's Canyon the next day.

Next day would be a longer one, 7.5 hours for 349 miles. With stops, etc probably close to a 10-11 hour day.

Baker City to Hell's Canyon Dam and then back up to Lewiston for the night.

Last day would be Lewiston to my house. A short day, 203 miles. Stop in Harrison for a bite to eat, then to my place to rest up, eat, drink and be merry if you wanted. This would be a good day to make a detour by Cruisers so every one can ride their bike through the bar, we will even take pictures.

Oddly next year I will have the best part of 3 months as well. A goodly part thereof will be spent in dear old blighty - I hope.

One thing to remember about the dates is the Hell's Canyon Motorcycle Rally is being held July 12th to the 16th. The roads will be loaded with other bikes.

Let's see . . . Two days from Tacoma around The Loop; one day up & over the North Cascades to Winthrop; one day to Spokane; one day

Trying to make a circle here, Bob. Perhaps from your area to Asotin, then Rattlesnake 3 to Joseph, then to Oxbow & the Hell's Canyon? So far July 16 week is leading & the HCR will he done.
