A GS1200 tried to pass me yesterday. We were going 90 on the BW 8. I let her get ahead and floored it in 5th. She hit a wall at 120 then the 150 hp did its thing. Last time I glanced down the needle was near the 130 range. We rode 400 miles in the College Station area.

You left out the old Lewiston grade (old Spiral Hiway) dropping down into Lewiston.

I would add that into the planning, if you are only going to only get one chance in your life to ride down the hill you shouldn't miss it.

Do you have a destination to arrive to early and get a day of rest after a three day ride from Houston? Do you have a recommended route for the Houston 1K9? I'm pulling.

My place is open, Rick.
Some of us will be heading out from here to Medical Lake (Spokane) on the 15th (an easy day ride); however, tis two hundred miles less for you to ride to Spokane.
I have not secured a motel for the 15th near Medical Lake.
Perhaps @Bob R will come up with some suggestions???

I'll be there, not sure yet if I'll ride or fly, but probably for the whole thing, maybe start in Northern California the week before if I ride.
