R3T vibration

Evening gents, I have an observation with my 5500km old bike. At any speed, gear or rPM I have a light vibration and grumble/rattle/ banging noise which I feel in the handlebars and front and rear footboards. If I pull the clutch lever in until the lever loads up( 2-4 mm) then the whole vibration and accompanying transmission noise goes away. If I am rolling down a hill on a trailing throttle it is really noticable. Load up the clutch a little bit and all goes quiet and the vibration stops. anybody else had this one and if so, what was the fix. I am off to the shop tomorrow morning as I have my SECOND flat tyre in 5500km. These tyres aren't real tough. I base that comment on 200000km on the old MHR Mille and not one flat. Anywy, if there is some experience out there with the vibes issue, let me know please. drain

Would you have noticed it in the footboards as well Ted? I don't believe that this vibration should be there at all, so if several of us have it, we should probably start making some noise to get it rectified. drain.

haven,t noticed it on mine (9500kms)...stock back tyre is crap tho, mine lasted 4500kms

Thanks for the input fellas. Triumph here noted my issues. Rear shocks completely inadequate when loaded up,( to the point where I would expect the shocks were upgraded as part of the deal if I bought another one) tranny/clutch noise, neutral light sometimes not working, rough idle. What made them really sit up was when I told them I picked it up from the first service and the dipstick was dry. then a thousand kays later the battery terminals were so loose it cut out on me. I had to reset the clock, so there was no power at all getting through. They were a bit redfaced over that one. They loaded a new program and that fixed the idle, a new switch is coming and they are looking into replacing the shocks and all the scraped stuff underneath, time will tell but they seem to be proactive. I deal with people every day, so I just stated mny position and what I felt needed doing, here's hoping they come to the party. drain

What I have found is that by pulling the lever in slightly the noise and vibes disappear. The R#T that is the test bike does this also. another thing that was commented on this morning is that the knees get sore. As this has never happened to me before, I can't help wonder if the whole lot isn't related. That'd be great, motorcydle vibes wering out ankle and knee cartilage :shock: :lol: :shock:
