What is being said here R4me is that my header is 1 5/8" O.D , olbull is saying that the header "outlet" that being the tail pipe, is 2¼" I.D.
Two different parts of the system.
When olbull comes back with the actual header diameter then we can compare "apples with apples".
Perhaps if he gets a pair of verniers out and actually goes measure the diameter then we will know what he's actually got.

Interesting to see what he comes up with. I am on my cell and couldn't read his invoice attachment..too blurry, but I think he thinks he paid for 2 1/4 " at both ends.

So ya old Bull, where does it fu!king say 2 ¼" header pipes ???
It says 2¼" outlet, that would be the tail pipe NOT the header diameter, correct ?
No apolagese to you fella !

Now that I have went out to the bike, the outlet from the head looks to be 1.75 inch and 2.25 at the collector.
I read 2.25 outlet ceramic coated - to me that meant from the header. I apparently have misinterpreted that.
EXCUSE ME!
I also read 2.25 stainless at the muffler. That is correct.

You are a newby to this forum and its unknown to me why you choose to come off as such an arrogant rude douche cannon!
Sadly, you are the first dickhead Aussie I have met here in three and a half years and 8,500+ posts compared to your 26.

I would appreciate it if you NEVER accuse me of purposely leading someone astray or $hitting them!

Apology for my mistake in misreading my invoice. It read 2.25" at two places.
From the head actual is 1.75" and at the collector and into the can, 2.25"

I am merely a very happy customer of CES and have NO financial interest in their product.
Now that I read this jerk is trying to sell his Viking Exhaust, I better understand what's happening.
PS: still .125 larger at the head. :p

I guess patience is good...but patience with knowledge is even better! Bull has been working with CES for some time and is currently running their full system on his R3R. He tells me the pipe is 2 1/4" at both ends.

"Living Legend" I didn't appreciate your condescending remark about patience. I am new to the bike and I was just trying to collect good intel in order to make a good buying decision.

I think that if a guy is trying to sell his product he needs to be willing to educate folks. In this case he didn't know his competitor's product and made me feel stupid for asking. Not a great sales strategy.

Woo Back there partner I would be one of the least condescending people around, I was actually complimenting Paul on his taking the trouble to answer your numerous questions in a informative manner , he has a answered all your enquiries promptly, I never gave myself the "living legend" tag so for you to condescendingly address me as that rather than the more friendly Cusso is not appreciated either, however good luck with your choice of Exhaust system, also as the world has found out Aussies and Kiwis dig at each other but stick together when it counts.

Hey Bull, you sure have got a big mouth, how many times were you asked WHAT SIZE IS THE HEADER PIPE ?
It's real simple Bud, just be honest then no Crap happens.
You need to get up with the play and understand what the different parts are called.
Let me explain for you.
HEADER PIPE; The piece of tube that comes away from the HEAD, that really should be pretty self explanatory.
Collector; The piece that "COLLECTS" the HEADER pipes together.
TAIL PIPE; The "tail" end of the complete system.

Then we have the Muffler, or Silencer as it is called in different parts of the world.

So now little Bull, you have a full glossary of the components of the exhaust SYSTEM, you can now see what a *****you were making of yourself saying that the header was 2¼".

Two other things, get your act together, I'm in NEW ZEALAND, not Australia.

2nd thing, thanks for the information about the header diameter, that's what I was wanting to know :)
