R3T derestricting

Thanks for the info. Under $2,000 doesn't scare me way if it looks and performs. If I am going to spend that kind of money I would like a full system with 150+ in horsepower on the R3T.

The pipe I like now is the CES. I like the fat pipe look. Honestly, my opinion only...your looks a little small in diameter. I would rather go fatter with a heat shield than smaller and tucked in without. Visual thing for me...plus it would seem like the more capacity of the pipe the better..right? Could you build with 2.25 or bigger pipe?

A bigger diameter pipe is not necessarily better J, you lose velocity which can make it go flat, this on a stock Engine, high HP Engines, different story.
This is why I'm looking at making heat shields, to give that "bigger" look.
A 2¼" O.D. header pipe would be waaaay to big. When I said 1 5/8" that was for the header pipes, bare in mind the stock pipes are 1½" O.D. and have something like a 2½" dia. heat shield.
 

I think the CES is 2.25. You may want to look at some of the posts from the guys that are going or have gone with CES. Take a look at the CES pipe, good looking.

I have seen the CES pipe, and all others out there J.
That 2¼" would be the tail pipe size, not the header size.

What size pipe is used on both the header and the tail pipe section on the CES?

I guess patience is good...but patience with knowledge is even better! Bull has been working with CES for some time and is currently running their full system on his R3R. He tells me the pipe is 2 1/4" at both ends.

"Living Legend" I didn't appreciate your condescending remark about patience. I am new to the bike and I was just trying to collect good intel in order to make a good buying decision.

I think that if a guy is trying to sell his product he needs to be willing to educate folks. In this case he didn't know his competitor's product and made me feel stupid for asking. Not a great sales strategy.
