R3T derestricting

OK - so far : greater torque (much more rideable in the higher gears), motor running cooler, idle smoother (no more chugging), decel popping gone, bike is generally faster (no slouch to start with of course). 300 mile ride Sunday will post fuel consumption, huge 'thumbs up ' so far !!!

Those were pretty much my observations also. We have a dyno guy coming to town in a couple of weeks, I will be putting mine up there to see what its doing.

Bob,
don't be afraid to use the "F Trim" table above 20% throttle to tweak the map a bit while on the dyno. Just save each change. No one map is perfect for all bikes. You should be able to see a small gain.

Fuel consumption update

So, with the power Tripp tune , on a 200 mile pack ride, my touring returned 43 mpg and the speedo reads more accurately, anyone with a touring owes it to themselves to install it, great job Wayne!

excellent tune

Thanks a ton Tripp, I received my cord this afternoon, downloaded the software, did the change, \i have the same opinion, bike just feels better, smoother, and is more responsive and less sluggish in higher gears.....and the decel popping is GONE, well done, thanks for the knowledge.

What I found most exhilariting about this tune is how fast it gets to rev limit in 1st and 2nd and the way the forks are still extended as it powers past 100mph in 3rd gear. I may have to get some tires rated for higher speed.

Someone help a brother out and save me from another hour of searching. I downloaded Wayne's new tune but haven't ridden yet because my GIPro is set on 3 and I lost the manual which tells me which setting is for gear indication only. I'm afraid to ride it with the first three gears manipulating the timing. Any help with the settings by number would be greatly appreciated!

- = normal mode. tre is not active
1 =soft setting. tre active in all gears
2 =medium setting.tre active in all gears
3 =hard setting. best perfofmance mode tre active in all gears
4 =hard setting. tre active in 2-5 gears only
hope this helps

So I just asked a buddy of mine who owns a Suzuki boulevard if he wanted to ride a REAL bike and as I watched him launch it down the street and into the night I got my first glimpse of just how fast this beast is from the sidelines. My father in law was watching too and turned and asked "WHAT did you DO to that thing?" LOL Thanks Tripp! My friend came back with that unmistakable Triumph grin and bugged out eyes telling me that my bike is faster than the ****** rocket he rode last week. It's awesome to see that "old man bike" blast off like that!

Happy Happy Happy
