Yeah, GTs I've never been sure on, they're...difficult to mentally classify for me for performance.

I know the 1600 is not as fast as I expected, be it weight or tuning nannies, something holds them back. On paper they should smoke R3s, in reality they don't.

As far as GSs go....
Black Hills near Rushmore last year I chased one through all the fun roads on my H2. He was riding it hard enough that the rear was slightly sliding at times on pavement (I could see it dancing lol).

It was a surprisingly fast pace, fast enough to be a lot of fun, even on a more capable bike, which was nice to have because I was rusty and it gave me the confidence to match him. We're I on the rocket I wouldn't have tried due to rustiness of skills.

BMW built a great all around package that can do most things fairly well, if no one thing best.

I sold the Rocket and kept the GS…for me its a much better all round motorcycle, especially when touring. I’m not sure why anyone on a GS would want to race a rocket, unless of course he thought it was a Harley!!
