G'day Captains
Diabetes and Lung problems have knocked the **** out of me for a while but finally getting on the top of things. Not gonna bore everyone with details there's some poor bastards out their got things far worse than I.
Whilst I haven't been on the forum have been busy, got a Venue free of charge for a bike show and rocket display. We have water, fenced area, and full toilet.
Have compiled a rocket ride statement to send out to get sponsorship and interest, about eight times in the last week should have it nailed middle of the week.
Also was introduced to the local OMC the Rebels. The president is willing to let us use their club house for a party on the Saturday night. Licensed bar, BBQ, and music thrown in.
Young Mitch; I spoke to triumph and mention the fact some of the Brisbane lads have got their local dealers on board for a display etc. The thing is what was pointed out was that all these dealers apparently have a area and apparently there's rules of encroachment of territory. This I have to look into a bit more. The local dealers Triumph & local dealer will definitely do a display, but trying for a bloody lot more than just a display.
Cheeky; My apologies have lost your number in the myriad of **** on my computer desk, would like to talk to you about some printing and promotional gear. I know every one has to make a quid so there will always cost to be recouped, But in saying that I also want to make as much cash as we can for the Make A Wish foundation.
Help: I would like to know if any of you would like to take on a little task of the accommodation. I will point you in the right direction for caravan parks that have both camping & cabins, give you all the links & number to ring but as we have 6 months it could all be confirm by email.
Also have made contact with 2 vintage bike
clubs one with a heap of old trumpys.
That's about it I think at this stage gentleman looking for ward to posting something substantial soon.
Before I forget!!! The big thing I'm waiting on is the Make A wish foundation, It's possible we I'll have to open a bank account for all monies we raise to be deposited. They have said I would have to do this to show all deposits and any withdrawal for expenses. The will also require at the end of it a fully balanced statement of accounts, sounds a lot but not really done this sort of thing before.
