Question about Noise while releasing clutch

hi,
When bike is completely stopped and then after releasing clutch slowly in gear 1 I hear some noise from engine somewhere near clutch plates area.
Or when I try to move bike in parking lot or out of driveway out of garage and we need that gear 1 slow clutch to move it little bit.

• It doesnt happen all the time.
• Clutch is working as usual
• this is happening for a while but I never bothered to ask about it.
• Not sure if this normal while releasing clutch
• I have like 9000km on ODo.

Any ideas whats going on?

Not sure how this clutch pack is designed but it may have the same design and it will make noise sometimes. Just ride it like you stole it and you won’t be worrying about the clutch noise

didnt know that Jay, thanks so much for replying, yeah you are right, its kind of chatter when clutch is released to get bike moving but i am releasing clutch as in very fast, since its just a driveway and I hear that chatter while releasing clutch.

The noise happens now most of the time briefly not just in the morning but also when the bike has been sitting all day. I am dropping it off at the dealer tomorrow so they can take care of it. I will keep you posted.

Chances are they'll just replace the whole clutch pack because taking everything apart then trying to figure out which component might be defective and re-assembling would just take too much time. Needless to say every mechanic I have spoken to about this agrees that this is not normal.
I will know more next week and will post an update here.
I'm just glad I've held off flashing the Penner tune onto my ECU, they surely would have blamed that and bye bye warranty.

the dealer would not know about the penner map unless you've told them. there is no way for the dealer to read the map, as long as the map number for you bike is correct.
